We are settled in Oxford now, and I'm raring to get back to work, but first I'll share a few favorite photos from Switzerland. For the extended photo recap, check out my Flickr set.
Definitely a gorgeous place, and also very expensive! I never thought Oxford would seem cheap in comparison to anything, but after Switzerland it's a bargain.
So serene! Hope you are getting some R & R to gear up for the big book launch. Thanks for taking pictures, since we can't all fit in your suitcase it is nice to see what you have seen :)
During one of our hikes we watched from a distance as a young woman reenacted "the hills are alive!" including the twirl. She looked kind of embarrassed when she saw us. :)
I agree with Dee Dee about The Sound of Music with that last photo. I chuckled at the one with you and the lion. For some reason I imagined you as some sort of sorceress making it lie still.
Wow - you are so blessed to have such beautiful adventures! Can't wait to see the results in your writing. Hope the rest of the travel is just as awesome as what you've seen so far.
Yes! So fortunate to be able to tag along on Steve's conference and then squeeze in some adventures before Oxford. At the moment, however, I have no story ideas for Switzerland. Hmmm . . .
Hi there! I'm the author of THE REVENANT (2011), THE DARK BETWEEN (2013), and GHOSTLIGHT (2015), all from Alfred A. Knopf. I blog a little about writing, but more often about reading, travel, TV and movies. Nothing too serious.
what a stunning place! Looks like such a beautiful place to explore, great pics! Hope you're enjoying your time in the UK now!

ReplyDeleteIt's always busy here. What I really need to do is WRITE. It's hard to start a routine with so many lovely distractions all around me!
DeleteMakes me want to watch The Sound of Music! I know that was Austria, but it was still the Alps, right? Beautiful pics!
